Melvin Ram
Melvin started Volcanic in 2003 as a way to provide professionals quality websites that make a difference in their business.
Since the inception of Volcanic, Mr. Ram has worked with a wide range of businesses from large organizations such as Sutter Health and Accretive Health to smaller professional practices such as Vails Family Practice and Merino Computer Concepts to realize their marketing objectives.
Prior to Volcanic, Melvin served as Creative Director at IntelliQuote. Before arriving at IntelliQuote, Melvin served as Senior Interactive Designer at Brandmother (formally LogoLab). Prior to that, Melvin served as Web Marketer at Technology Managers.
Though he attended California State University of Sacramento and studied Business Administration with a concerntration in Marketing, Melvin gained a significant share of his marketing knowledge through the coaching and mentorship of Ron Sutton, a world class marketing adviser to the Fortune 500.
Melvin’s core expertise includes web design, web application development, search engine marketing and strategic marketing planning.
In his limited free time, Melvin enjoys basketball, swimming, golf, dancing, hanging with friends and planning world domination.
Alex von Allmen
As a leading expert on brand marketing for small business. Alex has helped over 1500 small and medium sized businesses worldwide, including three Inc 500 firms, improve their clarity of vision and marketing positioning.
Well known clients have included AT&T Wireless, Harvard University, VF Wrangler and Sutter Health. In addition to working with Volcanic clients on crafting their billboards, Alex runs a brand consultancy called Brandmother which focuses on logo design and branding consulting.
Prior to Brandmother, Alex held product marketing, sales and finance positions with several Fortune 500 companies and startups. He has an MBA from The Kellogg School at Northwestern University and is an avid reader and student of biographies and success literature.
