Marketing Agency Software
Running a marketing agency is not an easy task. When I started Volcanic Marketing in 2002, we were primarily an internet marketing agency. We helped clients with website design, identity design, SEO and PPC advertising. Here were some marketing agency software that I found very useful:
Basecamp starts at $24/month
Basecamp is a project management. The neat thing about BC is that it cuts out all the fluff. It’s really simple and focuses on helping you get things done. A nice side-effect of using Basecamp is that we looked more well-organized and professional to our clients.
I also loved their messaging feature which lets you have a discussion with clients & coworkers at your own pace. You could upload a mock-up, set it to email your client and your client can respond directly from their email. Their email will be added to the discussion and Basecamp will notify you that their is a new reply to your discussion. It’s very well designed. I highly recommend it.
Adobe Connect Now free
Adobe Connect Now is a free version of Adobe Connect & Adobe Connect Professional. It lets you share your computer screen with 2 other people. Doing interactive design sessions cut down a lot of the back and other involved with design work. Clients were usually a lot happier because they had complete buy-in of the final outcome because they helped create it. And even if you’re not using it for an interactive design session, it helps in gathering feedback if everyone is on the same page (literally) so there less confusion.
