Updating the look and function of this site

by Melvin Ram on December 9, 2009

Hi everyone! Today this site is seeing a major change in both the way it looks and the way it works, as you might have noticed.

It came time for me to say goodbye to the previous design, as it was not going in the direction where I now wish this site to go. The new direction will be a more personal one, less work oriented.

I have decided to throw the web development and stock work aspect of my daily reality over at my new website, 85ideas.com. There, I’ll be blogging a bit about web publishing, working on public and stock releases, as well as bridging a few of my own web projects with it all.

To celebrate the transition over to 85ideas, I have just released a new WordPress theme called Motion. It may remind you of the Pixel theme a little bit; it is similar in a few ways. Its coding is cleaner though, and the design elements more fluid, which should allow users to customize it more easily. I am also working right now on a theme called Function; all the details will be posted on 85ideas as things progress. Head over there if that’s what you’re after!

hey, Sam, what will happen with your previous theme? won’t you release it as free WP theme?

Hey. The previous theme wasn’t well suited for a public release, so I am not heading in that direction right now.

I kind of liked it. Could you perhaps send it 2 my mail for free if that’s not a problem? I might try to use its layout and make a theme for one CMS. would leave link back 2 your page of course.

Hi again. I appreciate your interest in that theme, but it will not be released publicly for the time being.
